MY NAME IS KATHIE

I'm a Registered Hypnotherapist with the State of Washington. I’m a Board Certified Consulting Hypnotist with the National Guild of Hypnotists.

Prior to becoming a Hypnotherapist, I had a 38 year career as a Registered Nurse. I bring a lifetime of administrative and bedside experiences in the ICU and Emergency Department to my hypnosis practice.

I met a hypnotist at a party who told me that people can be helped to quit smoking in as little as one to two sessions. Two weeks later I found myself standing in the ICU, watching my alcohol detoxing patient climb unsteadily out of bed, into her clothes and out the door, against medical advice. This wasn't her first ICU admission. It wasn’t the first time she left against medical advice. She was headed to the corner store to buy beer and start the whole cycle over again. Standing there, I realized that all the attentive care - by myself, the other nurses, the doctors - wasn’t really helping her. I thought of the huge bill for her hospital stay, paid for by taxpayers.  I felt like a cog in the broken end of the health care system.

And that moment I decided I would go anywhere and pay anything to learn how to use hypnosis to help people overcome addictions and unwanted habits and behaviors. I couldn't help that woman - she had passed the point of wanting help. But I can help you. I can help you before you get to the point of feeling like it’s too late, before your drinking, smoking, overeating, or emotional overwhelm or any hurtful behaviors are ruining your life.

I value the life experience that each client brings to me. Often difficulties in life are accompanied by loneliness and a feeling of isolation. My compassionate approach helps my clients be successful.  Hypnosis is effective in person or (for social distancing) online with Zoom, similar to Teledoc. All sessions are 100% confidential.
